This pencil contains pressed pigments instead of the lead. Be careful when you sharpen or use them. They are soft and pressure sensitive. Write or draw on bisque if you desire pencil like effects. Also perfect for marking masterpieces with names or phrases. 

Use underglaze pencils for: 

• Drawing or sketching on ceramic bisques
• Marking or signing of ceramics
• Combining with paints and glazes
• Firing from 1000 to 1300 Degrees Celsius
